Photoshoot - Into The Wild
You didn’t come into this world. You came out of it, like a wave from the ocean. You are not a stranger here.

Augusta, Georgia | April 2019
These photos are from a stormy day in April. I remember looking out of the window while feeling a little worried about the weather forecast and tornado warnings. However, we decided to go for it. When the rain paused for a bit, we rushed down to this location, and hoped for the best.
One of my favorite photo sessions is one where I can adventure and freely create with someone who is just as inspired as I am. Emily walked through mud, climbed, and was not afraid to throw herself onto piles of wet foliage for these photos.
We took these photos right before Earth Day, which was the main inspiration, I wanted to use mud, moss, leaves, trees, rocks, as the backdrop for these portraits for a very natural and liberating feel.
I took a walk in the woods and came out taller than the trees - thoreau
Notes: These photos were shot with natural light in low light settings. I am happy that I grabbed an old posterboard from my garage on my way out to help add a little bit of light. I was in luck, Emily’s brother is also a photographer and helped me get some good shots by using the board as a reflector. I use a Sony a7 and a Nikon d750, Lightroom + Photoshop for editing.
